General Policy Rules & Waiting Periods

• Standard 3-Month Waiting Period Plans: Cover begins immediately for accidental death upon receipt of the first full premium. A 3-month waiting period applies for natural causes, and a 12-month waiting period applies for suicide. Main cover starts at R10,000 and increases up to a maximum of R50,000.
• Extended Member Rules (3-Month Plans): Extended members can be aged anywhere from 0 to 85 years old at entry. A separate monthly premium is charged for each additional life added, and cover for any extended member cannot exceed R30,000 or the Main Member's cover amount.
• Standard 6-Month Waiting Period Plans: A standard 6-month waiting period applies for natural causes. Parents, Parents-in-Law & Grandparents must be younger than 84 years old when the policy starts. Other dependents must be younger than 64 years old.
• Child Dependents (6-Month Plans): All plans include cover for up to 6 children under the age of 21, who are paid out a percentage of the main member's cover amount.
